If the filter element is damaged, the oil will enter each moving friction surface without filtering. The impurities and grinding in the oil will increase the wear of each moving surface. Long-term operation may cause grooves on some moving surfaces (mainly bearing bushes), seriously reducing the service life of the engine. If it is found to be damaged, it should be replaced immediately to prevent impurities from entering the lubricated surface. When the diesel generator is used in different seasons, the crankcase and lubricated surfaces should also be cleaned. The method is to mix engine oil, kerosene and diesel as washing oil. After the engine oil is released, add washing oil for cleaning. Then, run the diesel engine at low speed for 3-5 minutes, then drain the washing oil and add new engine oil.

The function of the fuel filter is to filter impurities and moisture in the fuel to ensure that the fuel entering the high-pressure system of the engine is clean and meets the fuel supply requirements. There is a problem with the quality of the fuel filter. The resistance of the engine filter component is too large, and the engine shows insufficient power and unstable speed during operation. If the filtration effect of the filter element is too poor or the filter element is ruptured,It may cause excessive wear of precision parts in the high-pressure oil system (such as plungers, oil delivery valves, fuel injectors, etc.), which may also lead to insufficient engine power and unstable speed. Various fuel filters in the fuel supply system should be cleared of debris every 100-200 hours of operation, and the fuel tank and each oil pipeline should be thoroughly cleaned. Be especially careful when cleaning the filter element and seals. If any damage is found, replace it in time. When changing oil during seasonal transition, all parts of the entire fuel supply system should be cleaned.
